My VPS goes down when I go to comments!!!

    Hello

    Thanks for your attention.
    When I go to the comments of one of my sub-domains the CPU usage goes to 99.9 and the VPS goes down.

    Those are just 200 comments.
    What’s the reason?

    Unless the resources are very poorly allocated on the VPS, 200 comments is by far not enough to knock it offline on its own.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Ok, that could just be PHP hitting its memory allocation.

    Here are two ways to increase PHP’s memory allocation:

    1. If you can edit or override the system php.ini file, increase the memory limit. For example, memory_limit = 256M

    2. If you cannot edit or override the system php.ini file, add php_value memory_limit 256M to your .htaccess file.

    Which one you use depends on your server’s configuration, so you’ll need to check your documentation for that, but more than likely you’ll be able to use the first method.

    I know it’s tempting to allocate all of the memory on your server to PHP, but you’ll need most of it for other processes. 256M should be more than enough.

    Ah, there’s the real problem.

    You have unexpected whitespace (either a space or an entire line) on line 3743 of the /wp-includes/functions.php file. See this guide for more info.

    Alternatively, replacing the file with one from a fresh download may resolve the issue.

    I replaced it but no result. I even changed memory_limit = 256M and max_allowed_packet:1024 but I have the same problems. 😀

    Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

    Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
