How are you adding the form to your post?
Well i am hosted on wordpress.com i use contact 7 form plugin. On my page i just used a shortcode To insert the form.
Thanks
I’m not able to reproduce the problem. I’m adding a shortcode to a form via:
[contact-form-7 id="2741" title="Contact form 1"]
And it is rendering in the page as:
<form method="post" class="wpcf7-form" novalidate="novalidate" action-xhr="/2018/08/29/testing-contact-form-7/?amp&_wp_amp_action_xhr_converted=1#wpcf7-f2741-o1" target="_top">
So there is no action
attribute.
Nevertheless, I’ve determined that Contact Form 7 is not yet compatible with AMP. See https://github.com/Automattic/amp-wp/issues/1356#issuecomment-417186962
I’ve had success with Jetpack’s Contact Forms.
Thank you for your reply Mr Weston Ruter indeed this is what i also found out yesterday. for the same amp page i have no error with the original langage (English) i only have errors (attribute “action”) with the translated version of the page.
I use translatepress plugin for my translations as my website is multilingual. then i could conclule the same way as you i don’t believe problem comes from amp for wordpress plugin otherwise i would also have same error with original page.
Do you think problem comes from translatepress plugin ? or might be combination of many factors ?
Nevertheless i have already wrote to developpers of translatepress plugin and i am still waiting for a reply
Thank you a lot for your time in helping me out about this problem. Indeed i even removed the contact form 7 shortcode on the page to see what happens and i was still getting validation errors on translated pages. which seemed even more wierd
Let’s hope we finally find out where problem is coming from
best regards
