 * I am new to worpress.org. I have just downloaded Wordprese, however am unable
   to proceed with the installation.
 * My queastion is whether I have to have MySQL installed in my computer?

 * Yes. You’ll also need Apache and PHP.
 * Read the [requirements](http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/).
 * You can also try WAMP or easyPHP. They’ll install everything you need. I haven’t
   used them myself but there are others on the forum who have.
