• I’ve decided to use wordpress/woocommerce for my new ecommerce store which was due to launch yesterday but my website is very slow and crashes often with the message:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, www.123-support.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

My hosting provider says I’m hitting the maximum number of server processes open at the same time and the maximum execution time and that I should look at my plugins as one is probably causing the issue.

Is there a way to find out where these process requests are coming from as I’m not confident I could detect which plugin was faulty by going through them.

They suggested WooCommerce might be a cause for instance but this is essential to my site as a Ecommerce site so disabling it wouldn’t be a solution to my problems.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.
