• Hi

    Im with GoDaddy, and started building my site using the parabolo theme a few days ago. As this is all new to me, I’ve had to wipe it and start again a few times after getting in over my head with phpbb and a bridging app that insisted on me installing autoMOD, which I followed to the letter, and it still managed to say “ERROR”…..
    Anyway, after 3 or 4 false starts, I have my webite half built, and wanted to get a look at it, so I typed my domain in ( http://www.carbinax.com ) and it says

    “Future home of something quite cool.
    If you’re the site owner, log in to launch this site

    If you are a visitor, check back soon.”

    I clicked login earlier, and i’ve been working on the site all day, trying to figure out the menu in the parabola theme, and wondering if its wise to make a child theme, or just refuse to update the theme until I actually know how to make a child theme……..so i’ve been working on the site ALL day. Why is it asking me to login when i’ve been logged in all day, and why is my website not publicly showing ?
    I can see it as an admin, but I want everyone else to see it too.

    When I used the free version of wordpress for a few years, it was a simple matter to click “publish” to make it go live, so I dont know what im doing wrong. Can someone help me please ?
    Yhanks =)

    Chances are that GD has put the ‘coming soon’ page in place for you. Look on your server at the root of your WP installation to find index.html, home.html, or something similar. Rename or delete it and, if your WP is set up correctly, it should show up. (Leave index.php alone.)

    Check with GoDaddy, your domain DNS is wrong, it is set for parked page. They can help you out.
