  • You’ll have to do a bit of database editing. If you have phpMyAdmin access to your db server, try this tutorial:
    http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

problems happened after I upgrade url

The URL doesn’t need to be “upgraded”. Never touch things that you don’t know what they are for 🙂

Hi, my site down again, I don’t know why this time!! Just now it is back, but now gone again !! Please help..

I see this site fine: http://www.marketingbyann.com/

Is there another one we should look at?

    Hi HanySolo,

Thank you. Yea, it looks fine now. But when you go: marketingbyann.com/articles

–> You can see all my articles list, but when I click on each one, the link comes out like this, example,

    http://www.marketingbyann.com/home/how-to-boost-your-affiliate-commissions/

Looks like it comes under blog, but it should under Main Page ‘Articles’. Therefore all the article pages can’t find

    The correct path should be:

    http://marketingbyann.com/articles/how-to-boost-your-affiliate-commissions/

Please help and advise how to fix this problem?

    Thank you.

Who put “home” in your permalink structure?

    Thread Starter annliu

    (@annliu)

I did before by use Plugin, I set ‘Articles’ as home page before. but I already changed the post slug from ‘home’ to ‘aritlces’. but don’t know why it doesn’t work?

It is still not working even after I tried. I don’t want to mess up the whole site again before I get any advise from your guys. So please help …

    Thank you.

It probably doesn’t work because when you wrote those “articles” – I guess you made them sub-Pages of the Page “home”. THat setting is stored in the database.
I’d check every sub-Page whether the ‘Parent’ is correct in the Edit panel.

Hi Moshu, I checked every article sub-Page in the Edit panel, they are all under “Parent/Articles”.

    What should I do now?

I’d try (at least with one of them) to re-save it while making sure the parent is “articles”. Since that Page (Articles) has been re-named it might show up correctly in the Parent list, but I am afraid the path for the nice permalinks is still stored with the old name.

I did re-save all of them, but it still the same 🙁

    ****

Okay, I find the problem and I solved it. Now it is working. 🙂

    Thanks
