I would add some more styling to your main text “Authentic Chinese Food Recipes Blog Recent Post” just to make it stand out more.
-Also, I would make the slide show a lot wider to show the full dishes and get rid of the overlay with all the text. Just keep the title of the dish and a description that is under 10 words and a read more button (visitors don’t have much time to read it before the slide changes). Then have the sharing buttons and full description on the individual page for the menu item.
-I would do a static background that doesn’t repeat. If you add this to your custom CSS you’ll see what I mean:

background-attachment: fixed;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
