    Hi block,

Yes, you will need to update the cURL version on your server or the API calls to PayPal will not work after PayPal officially disables SSL on their servers, which is happening on 12/03/2014.

Your hosting provider should be able to get this updated for you without much hassle. I’ve seen some that aren’t exactly cooperative at first, but due to the POODLE issue they’re going to have to address it or they’re going to have LOTS of unhappy customers.

Please see this post for details about the situation.

Right now I’m getting the not “exactly cooperative” response from the hosting company, but hopefully they’ll decide to update before 12/3. In the meantime, is it fine to use the latest version of the plugin?

    Hi block,

If 1.1.5.2 does not work for you (blank response / blank error) then you can revert back to 1.1.5 for now.

I actually just spoke to PayPal today and they’re making another adjustment, so I’m going to have to release a 1.1.5.3 update here soon.

That update will hopefully eliminate the need to worry about updating cURL. I think I’ve gotten everything worked out so that’ll be the case.

I should get that new update pushed tomorrow.

Awesome. Thanks for the great support and initiative!
