Does this help any? http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailyjews.com%2Fwp-rss2.php
Ignore the “Your feed appears to be encoded as “utf-8″, but your server is reporting ‘US-ASCII'” error. It doesn’t mean anything.

hi guys
i tested that posting on another version of wordpress i am running on a different server and am not getting any problems, so i suspect it is a setting issue.
so again, any helpful pointers on how my server should configure this would be appreciated/

The way my sever explained the “Your feed appears to be encoded as “utf-8″, but your server is reporting ‘US-ASCII'” problem to me was that the change could damage existing content and really isn’t necessary.
Try this ?
Add “AddDefaultCharset utf-8” to your .htaccess

hi there
My server company made a change from utf-8 to ISO-8859-1
can you have a look again at
http://www.dailyjews.com/wp-rss2.php
And let me know if you are seeing error message. I am seeing it on my browser, my server management company say it look fine on their browser.
thanks

I don’t see a problem with it.

thanks seems to be working.
also discovered the offending character that was causing the problem was the ‘ symbol.
I cut and paste into wordpress, but for some reason, wordpress did not like the ‘ character as a cut and paste.
So I then removed it and entered the ‘ symbol manually and it worked.
So the moral of the lesson: be aware when cutting and pasting that it could cause some problems with the RSS feed.
cheers
