I’m trying to turn on geotagging in my posts as per the instructions listed in this WordPress Support guide.
In the guide, it says that all one must do to enable geotagging is go to “Users” -> “Personal Settings”, then click a checkbox labeled “My Location” and enter in the address/location. First off, I don’t see a “Personal Settings” option, only “Users”, “Add New”, and “Your Profile”. Second, in the “Your Profile” tab, the “My Location” checkbox is not there.
I looked up a couple of Geotagging plugins, but it’s not quite what I want. I’m trying to use a localized news website called Outside.in which searches my blog posts either for names of locations or geotags. I don’t want to have maps all over my blog posts, but I do want the website to be able to find geotags and as such display my posts as they pertain to my local area.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
