My images are not showing

    My images are no longer showing and I have no idea why. I did recently update my theme so it could be related to that but I’ve used the theme in the past.

    I did recently update my theme so it could be related to that but I’ve used the theme in the past.

    To rule out any theme related issue, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Nineteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    Earlier when I looked, one of the images that ‘is not showing on the home page’ is present in the uploads directory but clicking the image in the directory listing (that probably needs some attention itself) gives a 404 so I’m thinking permissions problem.

    Did you do anything to affect the uploads directory’s owner or permissions recently?

    No. I didn’t make any changes to the permissions. At least that I’m aware of.
