• Running over 20 wordpress sites this is my go to backup plugin. Set the backups to save via ftp to folder outside public_html and can let it do its thing.

    Much appreciated!

Only issue might be if some users have directory browsing active and save their backups to an accessible folder, the backup zips can be easily downloaded and contain wp-config so anyone could basically hijack your entire server and database 😉 But not a problem if you’re careful.

    Hi

    Thanks for that feedback

Regarding the access of the backups files please note that each backup contains in its name an unpredictable set of characters … Thus if you want to access these files you need to know this set which is hardly impossible (40 hexa characters)

In other word, the access is as protected than if your password is 40 characters long …and I bet it is not 😉

Ohhh… I withdraw my comment as you say “f some users have directory browsing active “

    My mistake
