I downloaded+installed FooGallery 1.1.8.2 yesterday and today the FooGallery page is empty ! I can’t make any new pages based on the existing galleries, but the three pages based on FooGalleries still work. It reports I still have the four galleries I created and populated, but this has become a tax on the delivery schedule of this website. This is happening in the parallel sandbox site I setup to tutor my client on how to maintain a website themselves. One reason for this sandbox was to teach them to tryout new things away from your production/operational site, to avoid wrecking a working website. I have since disabled a similar plugin (Simple Photo Gallery) I wanted to evaluate side-by-side with FooGallery. Everything else seems harmless,

I’m sure this is a conflict between plugins, but so far I haven’t found a plugin which will simply provide a detailed, formatted list of the installed WP components (themes and plugins), so that I may post the list for someone to review and point out possible issues. Have a PDF of my site’s plugin listing I can’t attach to this msg….

Thanx for use of the eyeballs. Any worthwhile assistance is welcome….

  • Having the same problem, using the theme Magazine Basic. On another site, using the theme WP-Startup Pro, the Foo Gallery works great.

    Hello guys,

Please can you turn WP_DEBUG on and let me know if there are any errors that crop up on these pages.

@bradviri: That fixed it ! didn’t see any debugging info, but turning that switch on, caused the “invisibles” to become visible again. I hope this is useful info. Thanx and Happy holidays…

@bradviri: I also neglected to mention that the plugin isn’t detecting other lightboxes, specifically “Light – Responsive LightBox” and “Lightbox Plus Colorbox”. Wasn’t sure what was interfering, so I turned them off.

Have reactivated those light boxes and neither shows up on an existing gallery. Created a new gallery of four JPGs and none of the other light box plugins are listed in the drop down. Still no debugging msgs…

@jetman, support for other lightboxes like colorbox needs to be built as an extension for FooGallery, just like how FooBox is done.

We might look at creating an extension that supports these popular lightbox plugins further down the line
