My entire word press site has been deleted

someone went to my domain name which is hosted and links to wordpress and it couldn’t connect. I tried to log into word press and found my password no longer worked, I reset it, got onto my dashboard and found every single thing that was on my word-press removed, including all blogs. It’s as if I never set this up at all. What happened, can you tell who or how it happened?
