  • made a full crossbrowser compatible png alphablending theme.
works with ordinary img tags and all kinds of css-background images
(static and repeating). lightbox.js support as well – even without
    the lightbox build-in png hack.

    have a look 🙂

I like the idea (though the German version button isn’t on the right in IE for me). However I think to garner more attention you would really need to show what png transparency, etc. can do. By that I mean it should be used all over the page: in the sidebar, on posts, everything. Not just in the header.

i just posted this so ppl who serach for png transparency problems can find it, not to become popular here 🙂

besides, it is used for the header, for the “german” button, for the post div (notice those transculent borders?) and for the lightbox script (check image in portfolio).

right now this topic made 86 ppl visit the site and probably copy the script. thats a good start 🙂 wish i had more time tho to make a better show-off like you suggested 🙂

I visited and didn’t copy anything… There’s lots and lots of information about alphablending already out there.

Does this work in version 5.5 of IE?

is your theme available for download? i would love to use the idea with my own graphics!
