    I am not sure this is the right place to post. I was paying someone to do all of the editing to my website. They set up an account through my server godaddy and I recieved a log-in. I am now realizing she did not make me the main admin for the site and now am having problems trying to edit things because she removed the privileges for me. Can anyone help? Is there someone to contact to have them override her access?

    The admin for the site is, unfortunately, the person that can set up and change stuff like this. But, there are ways around that.

    Have a read through the options for resetting your password and see what can work for you. I would suggest that you look at phpMyAdmin and change the email address of the main admin account to your email address. That way you'll be able to get the password reset request sent to your own email account and be able to take over from there.

    Using Phpmyadmin (or another MySQL management tool), first backup your database. Then navigate to your wp_usermeta table and locate the meta_key called "wp_capabilities" for your user_id. Change the meta-value for this record to:

    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}
