My-account not working since update

I have recently upgraded to Woocommerce 3.4.
I was doing some tests on my website to find how purchases work for logged in customers (I have set up a discount)
If i visit the my account link, i get the login/register page as expected, however when I chose to login or register, after submitting the details the page loads for in excess of 2 minutes. it then spends in excess of 2 minutes trying to load and I the get an error message:
> The page isn’t redirecting properly
>Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
> This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
This is the error message from Firefox but I get a similar effect from all web browsers…
If I then try to visit my home page or any other page on my site, I get the same message until I clear my browser cache…
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
