• I just noticed that on iPads and iPhones, when you tap the lazy loaded Youtube image it doesn’t automatically play like it does on a Desktop. Instead it replaces the lazy load image with YouTube’s actual player embed and then you have to tap it again to get the video to play.

    This creates degraded user experience for visitors on mobile devices (which is 59% of all users today!)

    I just tested using Youtube’s iFrame embed code without Lazy Load Video and mobile visitors only have to click once, which is the user experience you would expect.

    Would hate to have to decide between User Experience vs. Lazy Load. Can you find a way around this problem?

    That same happens for me on mobile devices. However, without the lazy loader, on my S4 mini mobile, it is taking 20+ seconds to load the page due to all the youtube scripts, so I decided to forget about it. My users all accept it.
