Support » Plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin » Must-Have Site Builder for Free Plugin Users

  • In my opinion, SiteOrigin spearheaded modular page design in WordPress. SiteOrigin and Page Builder are great for numerous reasons:

    1. It’s very easy to template, export and import your site designs. You can even template and deploy individual pages. This is great for sales funnel creators.

    2. SiteOrigin’s Page Builder is both feature-rich AND stable. There’s scarcely a template I can’t create through it.

    3. SiteOrigin prioritizes deep customization. If you have enough knowledge of CSS and PHP, Page Builder themes are a fantastic base on which to build child themes.

    4. Their tech support is very helpful and responsive and will go above and beyond to help you unlock the full creative potential of their plugin. Their knowledge base and dev community is quite large and active as well.

    5. You can go very far with the free version of the plugin. Besides Gutenberg, there’s really no page builder on the market that offers so much to the WP community for free.

The Caveats: Page Builder is a trailblazer in making WordPress development modular and user-friendly on the backend. For that, I’ll always give SiteOrigin credit where credit is due. However, other products have since improved upon the “builder” model. Today there are sleeker, more “modern” and less cumbersome WP site builders on the market now in 2021. Divi, Elementor and Thrive Leads are the top go-to suites for freelance web developers needing to quickly template and deploy sleek projects.

Yet still, SiteOrigin doesn’t trail far behind the competition.

I’d encourage anyone looking to truly learn the WordPress backend with the aid of a builder plugin to look at SiteOrigin. They deliver stability, deep customization and responsive support.
