I think that might involve using frames or a pop-up player in order to play without interruption across every page. Have a look at this before you give up on it. I’ve never used it, but this link takes you to the Streampad Audio Player and links sites that are using it so you can demo. It has a bottom bar feature that allows anyone who wants to, to pop up the player into another small window so they can continue listening while viewing your site. I don’t know anything about it’s compatibility with WP 3.0.1, but what the heck. You won’t know if you don’t try.
