• Hi,

I installed wp4.1 and clicked to have multisite set up.

According to the documentation, I am suppose to set up a wildcard domain…done, good. Then I am suppose to go click on sub domain in the network settings. I cannot find the checkbox.

Now when I want to set up a new site, it is ‘forcing’ me to use subdirectory…have I missed something?

The document also says to set this up in the root directory but my install sits in the public_html folder…is that the problem? Should I move all the files to my root directory?

Any help will be very much appreiciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Maybe….

No. But this explains the other issue. WP thinks it’s in a folder.

What’s the home/siteURL of your site BEFORE you activated Multisite.

    Hi Mika,

I installed again and went into the file to change ‘multisite’ from false to true and it seems to work.

Please let me know if what I have done is incorrect and will give me problems later.

So far so good though so I am hopeful that it is sorted.

    Thanks mate for helping out.

    Cheers.
