 * I am new to Multisite. I want to setup a multisite system inside a closed network.
   how can I setup to differnt site when I only can work with the IP of the server?

 * No different, except you have to use subfolders and not subdomains.

    What do you mean by closed network? Are you going to be using domains
   for each blog created? Depending on your answer I tell how i did mine.

 * hi, closed network means totally offline network. no internet or dns connections
   possible.

    I do have everything running off
   the same IP. But my site is live.

 * WordPress works fine that way. I do it all the time for testing 🙂
