 * I’m completely new to wordpress and I have some presumptions about a multisite.
It’s important for me to be certain about what a multisite is to choose a good
strategy. Tips and advice are also welcome.
 * I want to use wordpress for more than one site, so I was looking for some articles
about a multisite. But after installing the multisite stuff it seems to me that
the different sites can not be separated. I can not pick up one of the two sites
and move it to another location. Is this correct or I’m a doing something wrong?

I now think that it is only possible to develop completely independent websites
with multiple wordpress installations each with their own database. Is this also
   correct?
 * In general what is the idea of a multisite. What are the considerations to choose
for a multisite network instead of multiple wordpress installations.

 * You can, but it’s just done differently.

 * No, it’s ONE of the options 🙂 Not the only one.

 * WordPress.com is a big, giant multisite. It’s multiple WordPress sites (blogs,
whatever) run by ONE install of WordPress. One database. One user base.
 * I’m always hesitant at listing considerations, because it comes down to personal
preference and comfort at the end. If you’re fairly technical, and you only want
one place to update themes, plugins and core WordPress, then a MultiSite is great.
If you want to keep your data totally separate, do multiple installs of WP.

 * You pick it up and move it like you woudl if it was hosted on wordpress.com.
 * really, it depends on what you plan on doing with it. I;d encourage you to read
wpmututorials.com and also my ebook where I outline a few things:
 * Or, tel us how you envision using it. (tho I suspect the advice will still be“
it comes down to personal preference and comfort at the end.”
