• hi i’m new to WP. I just installed WP on my computer to run locally before i get a host. i used microsoft webmatrix to install wp and the php server on my computer.
does anyone know what i should do, so i can create and manage different WP sites?
i read somewhere that i need to install WP every time i want to create a new blog/site. is this correct?
has anyone done this using webmatrix?

I take a pass on windows servers, be they local or not.

Not if you’re using MultiSite, no. You install WP once, create a network, and then create sites via the network admin.

well you’ve jumped in the deep end of the pool. 🙂 Multisite is a little more advanced than just a single install of WordPress, and the single host-it-yourself kind is more involved that what you’re used to being on wp.com.

You may want to play around with just the one install first. THEN create a network.
