 * I have assumed that as my blogs are in subdirectories of the root domain, if
   I have a dedicated IP and SSL for this domain, I can secure all of the associated
   admin areas and maybe logins?
 * I need to check if this is possible, before I pay for hosting services…!!!
 * Thanks in advance!

 * They are *virtual*. The folders do not exist on the server.
 * One SSL cert does them all in subfolders.

 * Im sure when Ive used export/import before, none of the pictures transferred,
   and I had to move them manually…
 * Im really not seeing any benefits of virtual folders… why not simply usea real
   ones???

 * there’s a checkbox on the import that says “transfer over all attachments”.
 * those DO have physical folders under the blogs.dir directory.
