 * Hello guys!
 * I run an entertainment website and my homepage and blog posts are designed to
   support video format.
 * Since few days I’m working on new features, like a wall of images. However, as
   I said, the page is designed for video format and so I can not just create a
   new category and upload images.
 * I’ve been searching for a solution and saw that it is possible to create a network(
   multisite). So here are my questions:
 * – When creating a new sub-domain, as sub.mysite.com, can I install a new theme
   and share the same database?
    – The users logged in after leaving mysite.com
   to sub.mysite.com remain logged? – What I need to do to make it happen?
 * Thanks!

 * Yes you can.

 * Yes they remain logged in

 * Just one more question:
    in your opinion it’s a good solution for my problem
   create a network? I read it should be a well-considered choice. do not know if
   I can have big problems in the future.
 * Thanks for your quickly answer.
    Have a nice day!

 * I created the network and now I have a problem with permalinks.
    My old structure
   was /%category%/%postname%/ and now changed to /blog/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%
   postname%/. I tried back to the old but I’m getting 404 errors…

 * I don’t know if a GOOD solution is multisite, but you ASKED about it so… you
   get Multisite answers here.
 * You’re having /blog/ in your URL becuase you set up _subdirectory_ not subdomain.
 * Go into your wp-config.php and change the define for SUBDOMAIN from false to
   true.

 * This: define(‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, true); ?
 * Already changed but still get 404 errors.
    I mean, I’m changing the permalink
   structure here: [http://gyazo.com/d8d0aff241b8e90eca0897887c3aafcd.png](http://gyazo.com/d8d0aff241b8e90eca0897887c3aafcd.png),
   I’m doing it right?

 * You have to also change your .htaccess (see [http://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess](http://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess))
 * Remove /blog from permalinks, change your .htaccess, log out, and log back in.
 * If that doesn’t work, WHAT page are you having a 404 on? What does the 404 look
   like (does it match the design of your WP site?)?
