    Hi all,

    This is my first post here so here I go :)
    I have two mayor questions:

    1) I'm using a wordpress network installation to create a new weblog for each user. In this weblog I would like them to be a reviewer (not an administrator) and I would like to 'approve' each new weblog request.

    2) This new weblog should (after accepting) be preinstalled with a number of plugins. These plugins should be preconfigured (you know, when installing a plugin a administrator first has to configurate it before using).

    Is this possible to use for all these plugins in different weblogs to have a "shared" configuration?

    Looking forward to some links of extra documentation or tips!
    Regards,
    Sven

  2. Approving each request and pre-configuring isn't too hard. Those are just plugins.

    Tweak settings for new blogs
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpmu-new-blog-defaults/
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/default-blog-options/

    Tweak plugins for blogs
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yd-wpmu-sitewide-options/

    Keep tabs on new blogs
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/moderate-new-blogs/
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/limit-blogs-per-user/

    Making each user a 'reviewer' though ... Why give them their own site if they can't use it?

    Also - you might take a look at wp-replicator from http://wpebooks.com/replicator/

    It does exactly what you want.

    Set up a blog any you want it. plugins,widgets,pages,categories,tags, etc etc. clone it and/or each new sign-up has the exact same configuration.

    You have to press one button.

    You then might change your mind.

    Just tweak the "master" blog. clone it and/or each subsequent new sign-up has the new configuration.

    There is a small charge but really very good support if needed.

    Have tried others but frankly this thing makes life way easier.

    I use another plugin (free) as an alternative to replicator. Helps clone any site you have created with all its settings. The plugin is "Add Cloned Sites for WPMU (batch)"

    http://productbakery.com/wordpress/add-clone-sites-for-wpmu-batch gives you a great overview of what the plugin does.

  5. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-cloned-sites-for-wpmu-batch/ for those who want to know where you can download it.

    (FYI, if that's your plugin, please look into the reports people have made: http://wordpress.org/tags/add-cloned-sites-for-wpmu-batch?forum_id=10 They would like your help :D )

    This is not my plugin, just something I use and love.
