I have a problem with the the subdomain showing the primary site. For example, if I go to my subdomain I see the primary site. Only after I login does it show me the subdomain posts and theme…

any ideas what could be happening??

    Thanks!

Caching, for one. Are you using any?

I’m using W3 Total Cache. I deactived them but still shows the primary site if not logged in.

Should I delete the plugin? I’m thinking that it might not be multisite ready…any good ones for multisite? I loved all of the features.

    Thank you!

W3TC works fine for MultiSite BUT in my experience you need to activate it per-site (that is NOT network activate).

Have you tried on a different browser?

I deactivated it. deleted it and it still shows the primary site when viewing subdomains.

It all shows the primary site on the following browsers:
    IE
    Firefox
    Chrome

The only browser that shows it correct is on my android phone’s browser

    any ideas??

    o.O

Can you share the URL? Now I’ve got two ideas.

    1) There’s another plugin that’s causing it, and it’s NOT affecting your mobile site.
    2) You have a mobile app plugin which is fixing a theme issue.

    You still have W3TC running.

Yank it out of .htaccess, turn it off on the MAIN site too. Just turn it totally off. It’s possible you set it up wrong.

Yep! that was the problem, the .htaccess was causing the main page to show.

how do you install it correctly?

install it in the network admin, then go to each site dashboard and activate it in the plugins menu?

    Thank you!!

Yes, that’s what I did on a SubDomain and a SubFolder site.

Well, I copied the files up via FTP and did it per site, but that shouldn’t matter so long as you do NOT activate Network Wide.

That seems to work now. Installed W3TC and when to each blog’s dashboard and plugins and activated it and now all subdomains show when visited.

    Thank you!
