I have set up a multisite network. The original domain https://smithandchisel.com.au is working fine – all plugins reactivated and happy. I have set up a subdomain at the host godaddy and created the setup in network admin.

    When I try to access the subdomain import.smithandchisel.com.au through the dashboard I get a 500 error. From outside I get a 403 & 404.

I have checked with the host and they tell me all is fine at their end and I need to point the the subdomain to WordPress or vice versa. How do I do this please?

    Cheers, Stuart

An update to this. The page is now live – I had the subdomain set up in a folder called import. When I fixed this the page is now live.

BUT….I still can’t get to the backend via WP admin.

    import.smithandchisel.com.au and import.smithandchisel.com.au/wp-admin work for me…

Thanks very much for the reply.
Since the original post I found that if i go to admin via import.smithandchisel.com.au/wp-admin I get in. If I switch between domains panels – network, primary or subdomain – via the network admin I get the 500 internal server error.

When I look at the links it’s trying to reach I get this – weird. https://import.smithandchisel.com.au/wp-admin/smithandchisel.com.auwp-admin/network/ This is trying to move from import.smith…. to network admin.

    So I’m getting closer, but….

I will very much appreciate your help. Cheers, Stuart
