Multisite subdomain dashboard doesn't work

    when i create multisite wordpress and also create a new site with subdomain (like shop.mysite.com) after that i check the subdomain dashboard it doesn’t open and generate the 404 Not Found error. how to resolve it.

    Did you setup wildcard subdomains?

    You need to go to your cpanel and click subdomains, then where it says:
    subdomain:
    just add a star in the box like this:
    *
    then click create, you now have wildcard subdomains setup. Try creating a new site now.

    If it doesn’t work, there are some shared hosts that may not allow you to have a wildcard subdomain setup.

    What kind of 404? Does it look like WordPress or does it look like a generic server one?

    If it’s generic, andym193 is on the money.

    If it’s WordPress-ish, make sure you have ‘AllowOverride’ set to ‘All’ or ‘Options All’ in your httpd.conf
