• Dear Loco Translate,

First of all congrats for your plugin it works really well.

Anyway there are some sentences that are not translated on my multisite installation, for a plugin I am working with. Even if those sentences are on the pot and po archives. And I edited that sentence in Loco Translate but on the web keeps not translated.

My question is if you can help me figure out what happend. I tryed: of course delete cache ( wp rocket), re-sync Loco translate, move translation to system folder, plugin author and loco folder. And even delete translation and re-wright it again.

    Thank you for your patience,
    Any help is welcome,

    Hi again,

Apparently it is not a multisite issue, but something with the template. I selected mexican template to build the spanish translation. But stored a language not in MX_es, but on ES_es, and maybe when syncing something goes wrong.

    Can I select a template MX_es to make a translation on a language ES_es?

    Thank you very much

There is no language inheritance or alternative language fallback in WordPress. You’d have to code that yourself or find a plugin that does it.

Loco Translate allows you to simply copy a file in es_MX to a new file in es_ES. This will save you some typing for common Spanish strings, but it will not update them when the original MX file is updated.

    Thank you,

And now that I already have the translation done. Can I change the template to a new one maden by the archive po I have traslated? I mean now when I sync it keeps syncing MX_es, logically. Or how can I make that the sync goes to a template es_es which the plugin don´t have?

Thank you and congrats again for the plugin

I’m not exactly following what you’ve done.

Did you use the copy function? Did you select the option that says “Use as template when running Sync”?
