Multisite: Re-using blogs that were deleted previously on Subdirectory

Recently installed a multi site blog using subdirectory format which I hope to open to public in the very near future.

As the title implies, can you re-use a blog address that were deleted previously?

i.e. if myblog.com/blog1/ is created and subsequently deleted by admin or the user, can someone re-use the blog again? that is register a subdirectory blog myblog.com/blog1/

If you cannot re-use it by default, is there a way that this can be done?
