• I have a bit of a hard time trying to figure things out at this stage as there were factors which led me to create a Multisite Network on my Shared Hosting Server. However with the amount of websites I have on the server with 2 Multisite setups, it seems like the server needs to have an upgrade.

I have read multiple websites, blogs, posts and topics in regards to having a Multisite Installation or not. Also watched the Mika Epstein video in regards to this. I am still unsure which direction I need to go and maybe having a discussion with the talented people on here with experience might shed some light on my situation.

    Here is my Situation:

    I currently have:
    1 Multisite Installation
    1 Multisite + Buddypress + BPPress + Woocommerce Installation
    5 Single WP Installations
1 Single WP + Woocommerce Installation

I am able to combine the 2 Multisite Installations together to make one big Installation.

The 6 Total Single Installations however are completely different style, plugins, posts, integrations and functionality to the Multisite Installations.

For Example, 1 Single Site is a Directory Listing for Venues, another is for a jobs board, the other is for a clothes shop.

The Multisite installation standalone is just a client Installation where we develop the websites for clients and we never separate those sites.

The other Multisite installation with all the plugins is out massive community site that allow people to sign up, use the Buddypress features and create their own small blog and it is related to the other 6 single sites but are different enough to have single installation.

My Idea was to combine all these sites into the one Massive Multisite since some share the same plugins, and wanting to share the users.

My server host has said to reduce CPU usage and by combining these sites together, I might be able to save on resources?

What do you think? Any Solutions. At this stage for this example, let’s say that a server upgrade is out of the question.

    Thank you for your time.

    Maybe.

Ten domains with a lot of traffic will be the same CPU usage/load as one domain with the traffic of the 10 domains :/
