 * i am building a social network business site. i want my users to have their own
   page to use ie add pictures and text etc and found about multisites. i installed
   the plugin and my site went into a redirect loop ..nightmare. i have since read
   that the latest version of wordpress 3.1.3 has multisite installed and just needs
   to be activated? i was also advised to add some coding to the php config file
   to activate the multisite…help please..surely their is a solution to this problem
   or a simpler alternative. many thanks

 * Is their an alternative to multisites??? All I really want is for people to have
   their own page where they can add their own profile about themselves and their
   business company/photos etc like a mini promotion for their business so not really
   a blog…..

 * MultiSite can be as big or small as you want and does not necessitate the use
   of a blog (you can build a static site).
 * You may also want to look at BuddyPress if you are looking for a more social 
   platform.
