Support » Networking WordPress » Multisite or a new Install on a Subfolder?

  • I plan to create two sites, let’s say:

    1. – a wordpress site that is more of a static site to display my design portfolio.

    2. – a wordpress site where I will blog

My question is – should I go with multisite or should I just create a fresh new install on a separate subfolder (e.g. /blog)? I’ve already tested out multisite and wasn’t a huge fan, mostly because of all the issues that came up with the permalinks and URL structure. I don’t really want to have to deal with redirects and editing the htaccess file or using any plugins to fix these URL issues. Also, I discovered that once you install multisite, you can’t use the slug /blog on a new site you want to add to your network.

Would really appreciate the feedback! Thanks!
