# Multisite not working

 * Hi everyone,
    I’m trying to install wp in a different root file than the “www”.
   The file was allready created so the multisite should work ( it was’nt wp but
   just a landing page ). I just put the wp install files inside the root file via
   FTP but when i go to my url’s site to install wp I just have this message :
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in /home/mylogin/mywebsite.com/wp-includes/
   functions.php on line 2899
 * I checked the code but it’s a commentary about some json script..
 * Does anyone have any clue about what’s going on?
