# Multisite (not network) serach possible ?

 * I saw that relevanssi premium gives the opportunity to perform a [multisite search](http://www.relevanssi.com/knowledge-base/multisite-search/)(
   when sites are in the same network, that means that the sites have been installed
   using the multisite procedure: [Create A Network in the WordPress Codex](https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network)).
   Is it possible to have it work on multiple sites but separatly installed (in 
   the same domain, eg, sub-domain1.domain.net, sub-domain2.domain.net, sub-domain3.
   domain.net,…)?

 * No, only multisite networks can be searched. Relevanssi needs the switch_to_blog()
   function to jump to another blog during the search.

 * OK, thanks for the answer.
    So there is no other way to perform a multiple site
   search than developping an external application (or include the Google search
   engine I guess).

 * Using Google is one option. I don’t know, perhaps some external search solution
   can combine multiple sites to one search – I don’t see why that wouldn’t be possible.
   But I don’t know of any such solution.
