# Multisite needed here?

 * Hello,
 * I am wondering whether I need to do a Multisite installation here:
    One client
   of mine need two identical websites – just with different top level domains. 
   They are both on the same server under one user account.
 * I know that in certain hosts I can just duplicate the installation (upload the
   same files with the same database info to the other domain) and everything works
   fine (unless you enable wp-cache).
 * Do I need Multisite in this case?
    I have no experience at all with that configuration.

 * Whilst you can run to separate sites with separate tables in the same database,
   it’s impossible to run two sites from the same set of tables as the stored data
   includes the site urls.
 * Why not just forward one domain to the other? That, at least, would stop you 
   getting penalised by Google for duplicate content.

 * Not what the client wants. He wants identical content for two TLD’s and manage
   them from one interface.
    It’s in Europe – crazy legal regulations there…

 * I’m not sure that there is a plugin for synchronized publishing across 2 sites.
   Mainly because you’d get hammered by Google for duplicate content.
