hey John,
Thanks for reporting this issue. Did you try and download a backup archive?
This is not the intended behavior, I’m going to open a github issue and we’ll provide a fix in an upcoming version

Yes, I just tested and downloaded the main archive: it seems complete and contains all folders (incl content from sub-sites) and the SQL.
The other backup folders contain a mix of full backups and database backups. Those full backups seem to be smaller in size than the main one (maybe done when I create a new sub-site) but I don’t know whether the database archives in there are only related to the sub-site or not – sizes vary from one site to another.

In fact, I also notice that the program constantly creates new folders under /wp-content, or renames them, even in standard WP installations – maybe after each upgrade – and thus makes it difficult to exclude those backup folders for other programs as I always have to update the settings. Isn’t it possible to stick on a specific folder where the program stores backups?

Any news about those issues?
My sites are getting full of new backup folders I keep deleting and they keep reappearing!
In a multisite this is really nightmare because each and every network site has its own folder that keeps recreating backups again and again…
