Multisite, global settings?

    Hi – thanks for the plugin

    I just discovered this and haven’t started experimenting yet.. but have a question

    On a multisite install would it be possible to have network wide settings for user roles and custom user roles?

    use case would be a subsite has various users

    author
    editor
    admin
    author1
    author2

    each with a limit set at network level for all subsites –

    author = 5 post/month
    editor = 5 post/month
    admin = 5 post/month
    author1 = 20 post/month
    author2 = 50 post/month

    Hi,
    Did you mean to limit for example the author to posts 5 times a month in each subsite or 5 times a month totally in the whole network subsites?

    Hi –

    that’s an interesting question

    I was thinking that a user with roleX would be limited to a number of posts per subsite – and that limit is set at the network level. ie all subsite user roleX have the same number of posts

    however if it worked out that it would be network wide limitation that would probably work out okay too

    Hi,
    The feature of network-wide settings is planned for a future version of the plugin.
    Currently you will have to manualy configure the posts limits via the plugin settings site by site.

    Hi, with the latest plugin version you can define network-wide rules from the Network Admin.

    Hi, I can’t get the limits to work for product creation in woocommerce.

    I have a multisite.
    3 types of store manager.

    Store manager 30 products
    Store manager 60 products
    store manager 50 products

    I add the limits and it does not read them. try site manager, main site, and sub-site and nothing.

    Hi Laura,
    In each sub-site: go to the plugin settings, modify the ‘Plugin Management Capability’ option into ‘edit_plugins’ and set a rule that limits Shop Manager to its right number of products (30/60/50).
