# Multisite folder

 * Hi,
 * I’m new to wordpress. I’m trying to find out how to use wordpress with multisite
   in a folder (wordpress) and when the website is ready move everything to the 
   root (/). I cannot work from the root as when people go to the website, they 
   are presented with an information page announcing the future launch or the website.

 * How new are you to WordPress? Cause you CAN do it, but if you’re not comfortable
   with the database, I reaaaaally wouldn’t.
 * Instead, I’d install in root, make a static front page (or use this plugin – 
   [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/underconstruction/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/underconstruction/))
   to show the info page. They’ll never know the difference, and you can just turn
   off the plugin at go time.

 * I’m actually ‘very’ new to WordPress. Just decided to use it for a new project.
