  • OK, I have in issue – almost certainly of my own (slightly hamfisted) doing!

My site: http://www.transenduro.co.uk has a set of links on the homepage under “Our Previous Adventures”.

The logos there link to a variety of older blog posts (P13) an old wordpress blog (TransPyrEnduro 2012) which sits on the same hosting as the main site, and then a mixture of external links to old Blogger posts and a couple of self-hosted sites, again on the same hosting as the main site.

I just went to look something up on my old TransPyrEnduro (TPE) WordPress blog and got the dreaded “Error establishing a database connection” message.

Now I’d never properly set it up as a multisite installation, instead I would just login to a separate dashboard. So I figured I’d add TPE to the Multisite and then progress from there.

After adding TPE I knew as I’d had to move the installation into the /wp folder there’d be some redirecting etc to do. However, I cannot successfully now get in to the TPE Dashboard to make any further changes and try and fix the problems. http://transenduro.co.uk/wp/transpyrenduro/wp-admin redirects me to a page that brings up the error “Error establishing a database connection” and I’m back to square 1!

Sorry, I know this is my own fault and I know I’m not being particularly clear… anyone got a smattering of patience to try and help me out?!

    Thanks, Rob
