# Multisite – Create Sub domain not controlled by WordPress

 * Hello all, not sure if this has been asked before but I have not found an answer.
 * I have WordPress multisite setup and it works for the sites I am running but 
   I would like to set up a sub-domain and install a different CMS for development
   purposes.
 * Is it possible to set up a sub domain and not have WordPress automatically control
   it?
 * i.e. set up dev.mysite.com and be able to install another CMS and another db 
   for this CMS?

 * Yes.
 * Just define the subdomain in your control panel and have it make the subdomain
   normally 🙂
