# Multisite Activation – Need Help Please!

 * Hey all,
 * I’m trying to activate Multisite on my WordPress site. Only managing to get passed
   the first part, I hit a roadblock.
 * So far, I entered the following code into the wp-config.php file:
 * define( ‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true );
 * After, I refreshed and went to Tools -> Network Setup. I found that I’m missing
   pieces compared to those of the instructions. The options for choosing Sub-domains
   or Sub-directories isn’t there.
 * What is displayed instead is “Sub-directory Install – Because your install is
   in a directory, the sites in your WordPress network must use sub-directories”.
   After I press Install, a message says “ERROR: The network could not be created.
   The network already exists.” Unlike the next step which is to add code into the
   wp-config.php and htaccess files.
 * Please help! FYI I’m a beginner of using WP.
