 * Hello, I have multiple WordPress sites that was installed in the same domain
name, but each have their own sub domain name or their own directory folder.
 * Is it best to have them shared, or have separate database of their own when installing
multiple WordPress sites on the same domain? Or, does it matter at all?

 * I do not think it makes any difference at the server since each site is accessing
the server with its own MySQL User and I would guess the server does not care
where the site’s table_prefix happens to be located. And to have shared users(
something I am trying to do), the sites need to share a database anyway. On the
flip-side of that, however, making backups of tables for individual sites can
be a bit tedious since all tables for all sites are visible to/at each…and then
if something goes really wrong and a database gets skewed, there is the risk
of multiple sites going down all at once.

 * The easy way to it is:
 * A single site, or single network installation = 1 database.
 * Multiple separete sites (not a network) = multiple databases.
 * This just helps to keep things separated so if anything does go wrong it’s only
one site that’s affected, not everything.
