[Resolved] Multiple Submissions from same person needed for testimonial

    I have a unique situation where I could potentially have a student wanting to submit multiple testimonials depending on which classes they take with me.

    In doing a test survey I see that once they submit one they can not submit another one.

    I have searched high and low through the settings to see if there is something I can change and can’t find anything.

    If they completely close out of the browser they can submit another one. This is an anti spam measure I added.

    In the next version there will be a option to turn this on and off.

    I will just add a note for them to do this as a spam safety measure, they will understand.

    I have added a setting where you can control how many minutes in between a user must wait before submitting a new testimonial. If you set it to 0 there is no waiting.

    This feature will be out in the next version (2.1.14)

    I’m back…

    With the new update a few things reset. I just got done setting it all up.

    Now when I attempt to submit a test tutorial I have a message where the captcha would be

    Input error: k: Format of site key was invalid.

    When I attempt do submit it I get the message “You entered an incorrect captcha. Please try again.”

    I have verified that both the private and public keys are correct.

    Is there something I am missing?

    Not that I know of. I will look into this tomorrow. When you go to the testimonial settings the public and the private keys show up in their boxes right?

    Yup, and I’ve done it a few times.

    I’ve been reading for a couple hours on “fixes” and none have worked so I admitted defeat for tonight and came here hoping you knew something. LOL

    I am going to give up for the night and see what you might be able to come up with other than my ineffective google searches and fixes from 2011. 🙂

    Hey Carolyn,

    The issue is fixed in an update I just pushed. Sorry about that.

    The reCAPTCHA WordPress plugin didn’t like when hms-testimonials was installed and using reCAPTCHA. When I was fixing that issue I forgot to turn reCAPTCHA off so it was working fine for me. Once I turned it off I cleaned up the issues and it is now working as expected (for me anyways) on a few sites.
