# Multiple sites – one URL

 * Client wants UK, South Africa and Eire websites all to share the same .com URL.
   But they also want a local country search to bring up native site to that country.
   The three sites will vary in content but have same branding.
 * Presumably Multisite can provide most of this, but what about the URL issue?

 * You might want to do this via subdirectory sites: example.com/uk, example.com/
   sa, etc.
 * This would be subdirectory type multisite.

   the advantages and disadvantages of running a multi-site website?

 * dataflair112, per forum guidelines, please create your own topic, so your question
   can get the response it needs. I would say that it’s far easier to add standalone
   additional sites than install a multisite.
