We have a problem with our search function . It doesn’t find listings that we have , under the category names that we have them under.
For instance if you correctly spell web design, no listings come up. But we have one listing under that category already.
Also you loose the search field on the top, after running that futile search.
    How do you fix that?

    Hi Pakashani,

Can you walk me through what the issue is, by providing a link and a specific example?

Also, we are releasing version 3.1 today–can you please upgrade and try that as well?

Thank you for responding so quickly. The site is pcluach.com. We have been having numerous problems with the search functio.

For example: #1 you type in pharmacy into the search field. You get all 4 of thr pharmacies taht we have so far listed. But lets say you want to search for something else. The search feild is no longer there on the page and won’t come back unless you go back o our directory/home page. Pretty much no user would be able to figure that out.

But if no results show up,like you type in circuss, you will have an option to return to directory. That option should show up even if you get a result because maybe you now want to look for a bakery.

#2 we have two listings with the tags cakes, pastries and etc. Only one of the lsitings come up on a search hough. Whats the point of having the tags and a search function if youcan’t find listings with tags that you made sure to include with them?

#3 we got the regions module upgrade, but in advanced search, you have the option of searchin by region as well, so what advantage is there to have the regions module upgrade?

    Thank you for youre help

One more problem. We have a separate field on the form for the business directory titled “regions” but it doesn’t have any choices in it and as such users get stuck there . I changed it to an optional field, does that create any problems for the regions module? Again, we already have country, state, and city fields there.

    Thanks
I understand that the recent upgrade is probably keeping you very busy but we appreciate your help
Also, I found a partial workaround to problem #1 by activating the ” show the directory button ” on directory admin– Manage options– general.

    Are you running 3.1?

Did you get the updated regions module for 3.1?

Also, you say you have a regions field–have you been creating regions fields manually on your site under Manage Form Fields?

Have you tried restoring the Region Fields, it sounds like you may have some problem field associations?
