• Hello:

I’m not sure if this is the right location for this post… but it seemed to make the most sense.

I am fairly new to WordPress (I took a few online training sessions) and I am now in charge of maintaining the office website in order to save costs (We are a non profit society). I did not set it up and I’m not sure where all of the code is (some of the .phps under the editor have similar names), and in order to make changes sometimes I have to copy code from the editor and paste it into Word and use find/change to find and change what I need to change.

We are using the theme VibrantCMS. It has three “homepages” that show up on the main homepage. Ideally we would like to set up three separate RRS feeds/Recent News widgets in these homepages – one for each of our offices. I have played around and tried to figure out the best way to go about doing this and I have not had much luck. Any tips/suggestions?

I hope this all makes sense…

Thank you for any help you can offer.

  • Sounds like you just need to setup 3 different “office” categories, then if VibrantCMS has a widget for it, or you can find one, have it show posts from each particular category, respectively.

That should let you have three different news feeds on the homepage.

Also try contacting the theme provider or their forum support, most premium theme companies offer support.

I found one that I think should work. Thank you. 🙂

Can you share which one you found? Other users may run into the same issue you were seeing and having a solution available would be great 🙂

Yes, it’s called Category Posts Widget, the URL is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-posts/

Now I just need to figure out how to “pretty it up” to look like our Recent Posts widget.
