  • After I happened to notice that my Events page was blank except for the header and footer and sidebar, I discovered that the Events Calendar plugin had been updated to 5.0.2 through Bluehost’s Auto Update Manager. Tried deactivating/activating plugins and modifying plugin settings. Nothing fixed the problem. Stopped investigating for the night last night and when I returned to investigate today, I discovered that several of the Events admin menu items were missing — the only items appearing were Tags, Settings, Help, and Event Add-Ons. (Found same problem reported under https://wordpress.org/support/topic/missing-option-to-add-event-and-event-list-in-menu/)

    At this point, I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled version 4.9.9. The missing admin menu items reappeared, but the Events page still comes up blank.

  • Haven’t been able to determine the cause of the missing menus as yet – they were still looking into the cause – but you should hopefully be able to go up as far as 5.0.0.2 if you’re trying to work through the other issue to see if it’s related to the new UI updates; we’ve dropped back to that version while they’re working through the missing menu issue.

    I had the same problem. Revert to 5.0.0.2 worked for me in regard of the menus. The calendar itself also vanished from web page – I upgraded views to new version to cure that but to be honest I found the old views better. Might revert that too.

    Working with a non-profit and love the calendar, but the latest update just “White Screened of Death” my website. I am using a DIVI Theme and they recommended The Event Calendar plugin. I was able to get my website back, but hesitate to activate the plugin again. Any suggestions you have so I can activate the plugin would be appreciated.

    You’ll see a dropdown box at the bottom of that page where you can choose which version to download.

    Hi,
    I think I got the same problem when using the last “twenty_twenty” theme with WP5.3.2, the callendar (All events page) disapears and i get only text:
    “Navigation par consultations Navigation de vues Évènement Mois Liste Mois Jour Aujourd’hui..”

    When I have switched back the theme to 2017, it recover.

    Waiting for an update (of the callendar).

    Hello Jaime,

    The issue with blank Events page turned out to be the result of a problem in a WP-Members Membership plugin update. Rolling that plugin back to previous version made the content on my Events page reappear.

    Since everything is acting okay now, I haven’t taken the time to update TEC to 5.0.2.1 to see if the missing admin items problem still exists. I’m still using 5.0.0.2 of TEC for now. I’ll submit a new topic if I experience the problem after updating.
